The
Minotaur BF537 is a sub miniature Computer On Module
integrating a high performance digital signal
processor, memory subsystem, IO and support
components. The Minotaur connection concept provides
a rugged compression connection to a carrier board
that does not require soldering or connectors.
The Minotaur BF537 allows you to quickly
implement a prototype system and proceed with a
highly cost efficient manufacturing run. Minotaur`s
mount directly onto a user designed motherboard and
can interface with standard components or commercial
off the shelf technology. The module is supported by
a comprehensive range of development tools and
example software. Applications can be created in
industry standard C, C++ or higher level languages
such as Java and Python running on a uClinux kernel.
The Minotaur BF537 Breakout board is a simple two
layer PCB which demonstrates many aspects of the
mounted Minotaur BF537 computer on module.
Essentially it comprises of a power supply some
logic level conversion and connectors for the
various peripheral present on the Minotaur computer
module. The Breakout board can be used as a starting
point for a full custom design.
